I got a 93 1 ton cummins truck. ext cab, 2wd, auto 727 trans, 3.73 gears, dually. I do alot of highway traveling from illinois to texas and north dakota. Anyway i was thinking of an inline overdrive or something of that sort. any suggestions.

 

I've got a 90 that had a 727, I swaped it out for a 518 and put the od on a switch till i got the pcm wired up. Then the speedo quit so i just use the switch now, I like it better that way anyhow. btw you would need the drive line.

 

The 1993 Dodge/Cummins came with an A518 (3-speed w/overdrive).

What makes you think you have a 727?

 

I was thinking the same. Could be something as simple as tps.
