92 VE wont start Bought this way on the cheap!
Long story short...
I bought a 92 d250 from a guy said it puked the lift pump. He replaced lift pump, and couldn't get it to "air out" as he called it, so I bought it for a song and a dance, figuring I would bleed the lines and have it running pretty quick... no such luck.
Put a new battery because he had a lawnmower battery in it. Pumped it up and spun it over... nothing.
Cracked all the lines one by one from the lift pump to the injection pump and got plenty of fuel to the pump.
If I start it and keep it running on ether, I can get alot of volume out of the injector lines but no good pressure. I do have the grid heater unplugged btw.
I pulled the fuel shutoff solenoid, and cant get it to move when I put 12V to it, so I removed the plunger and made sure the manual shutoff was full on. still nothing.
I bought this truck because it does have almost 300K on it, but its bone stock, pump never been touched, nothing. new front end, new tranny, new clutch. Clean as a whistle under the hood. Cant say that for the outside.
Sorry for the novel, but this was yall know what I did... Afraid the IP is toast
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
