Default Spooling or loping or...????

I keep seeing videos of people who seem to be able to sit still and stedily build boost aswell as smoke...then let off and not move...how do they do this...i can have my truck in park and steadily rev it up but have no smoke and 1 lb of boost...what are these people doing...please enlighten me...are they in drive and doing this...my tires break loose anytime i try in drive...please help

Never heard it called brake torquing, but yes they are in drive and are building boost. I have always known it as a brake stand or a boosted launch if you actually take off. That is the only way to build boost on an engine when it is under a load. You won't seem much if any boost sitting in park and reeving it up.

Okay so do i have bad rear brakes...because my tires break loose every time i try to do it

My tires will start to spin but the truck stays put, still spools the turbo for a boosted launch. Just like a car at the track warming it's tires up before a race.
