Yes I realize that they are on eBay and are cheaper, but I'm looking to purchase it from Napa, cause eBay is only cheap if the shipping and duty is cheap....... So back to the original question what year and motor is the fuel shut off solenoid compatible with our VE pump?? Is one from a 88 diesel rabbit going to work?

I would just ditch the solenoid and get a cable shut off I mean the motor is already set up for it all you have to do is get a cable and run it next to your hood latch

Ya cable shut off is hooked up, but I have to have a breathalyzer installed in my truck so I have to have the solenoid working.

I'm gonna bust out here with my best impression of FogHorn/LegHorn....

I say, I Say My Boy, Bust out with that there cable and run that Sucker up under your dash and do it,
I Say Son, do It Old School!

Sorry, I just read the part about the breath alizer.... can't find a shutoff, just hook it in to the starter relay. No juice, no go. Then you can still use your cable to shut it down
