Default what kinda mpgs

What kinda mpgs should i be getting with my 4x4 727 auto cummins. Smoke screw is in 1great turn and star wheel is down roughly 1.5 turns. I run diesel kleen in every tank. I drive it between super fuel save mode and foot to the floor. Ive filled twice and got roughly 11.5 mpgs. I think i got a injector knock that i notice going thru drive-thrus. Would that cause my mileage to go down?

I'd say that might be knocking the mileage down some, what was it before you got 11.5 MPG?

Starwheel turned down and smoke screw turned in will give you no power gain, just smoke plus hurt your mileage.

It doesnt smoke at all unless i lay on it. I've had the truck for a month. When i got it the starwheel was all the way in, smoke screw was all the way in, and fuel pin at its deepest setting. I got 11.69 mpgs with those settings on the first tank. I backed everything out. 11.5 mpg the second tank.

I bought the truck figuring it would match the mpgs of my old 1990 chevy k1500 350 auto which was a hair over 16mpgs

My dually with a turned up pump and auto trans gets 17mpg with a heavy foot. Have you changed the oil, and fuel filter?

I get almost 22 with my dually. Those size tires are hurting you for sure.

You should be getting over 15 no matter what. Look for white soke under acceleration, that would mean air in the system. I'd start by running a bottle of diesel kleen through, always works wonders for me.

16-19 mpg is what I'm getting out of my 12 valve
