You shouldn't have to run it every tank Try running straight diesel instead. Aside from that you might have to start running diagnostics. Somethings wrong there.

I run it every tank for lube. The ultra low sulfur diesel fuel dries out the injection pump. The sulfur is what lubed the fuel system, without it the IP can get problems sooner. At least that's my feelings towards it.

I was running 31 inch tires and got roughly 18 with a stock pump and a brand new 518. i changed the pump- fuel screw to the collar, turned the fuel pin and turned in the star wheel. still got 18 but was more fun to drive, little to no smoke. got new rims and tires (35 inch) mileage went to 13 to 15. I calculated for my new rolling radius and everything. The larger tire, and more "pull" caused by the big tire causes the torque converter to be even less efficient than it already is. Plus you build tons more heat becuse of the extra work the torque converter does to do the same speed.

I talked to my friend that has a Second Gen with 33's and he has 4.10 gearing and is getting 19 almost 20 with an automatic transmission. Something must be wrong.

Sweet, look for leaks, or possible leaking places, replace that gasket on the AFC housing when you do the gov. spring, its prolly flattened out.

After researching i dont have an injector knock. I never hear this noise other than when im in the drive thru after work. Its only noticeable when im in drive and give it light throttle to move up

Actually now that i think about it, when i got the truck i filled it up to 1/4 tank. I drove it 50 miles home. And another 20 miles once i got it licensed. The gauge moved a hair the whole time. I changed the fuel filter and forgot to pour any diesel in the new one. Since then its sucked down fuel. Even after i deleted the fuel heater and switched to the wix 33472 filter without the water in fuel sensor
