Im new to diesel and wondering what i should do first performance wise?

 

Get gauges. Boost fuel pressure

Agreed gauges are very important, especially Exhaust temp before doing any serious mods. However you can do some mild tweaks for free. and as long as you're not so hard on the rig, it's no problem.

what gauges would you reccomend?

 

Isspro trans temp if automatic, boost,pyrometer, fuel pressure.

I really like my glowshift guages and they r cheap....but you can definatley do pump mods for free and get some more power...after that i would say exhaust, fuel pin, 3200rpm spring, intake, injectores and a turbo upgrade

 

After a minimum of an EGT gauge, and before you spend more money, . . . what are you going to do with the truck?
