Ive done. Alot of research about cummins headers and people say you loose power and that's understandable since a header is made for hi rpm but I want it for lower egts. Towing why im asking is can thdrop in power feel noticeable or only see it in synonymous test?

You'd do well spending that money on a nice set of towing twins IMO.

Not worth the money IMO. Most I'd go with is just a three piece exhaust manifold.

How do you figure that header is gonna give you a drop in EGTs? The thin-wall tubing?

Keep in mind the turbo(s) is driven by the otherwise wasted energy of heat in the exhaust gasses. Unless I'm mistaken, our heavy-walled exhaust manifolds benefit the turbo as it doesn't shed heat as fast. With that, there's more energy to drive the turbo.

Further, yes, the tubular header will provide certain advantages in certain circumstances, but the tubular header that's properly tuned is gonna be peaky in its window of response/benefit. The more traditional log header is gonna tend to broaden the range of benefit/response.
If you're serious about dropping the EGTs, look harder at a set of conservative/responsive twins. An aftermarket cam shaft will help move a lot of air through the engine.

- The tubular header for a diesel isn't anything new. If they worked that well for a daily-driver / work truck, everybody would be running them.

Just my $0.02.

Like I've been Told a header as upgrading exhaust housing. More flow is less heat. Log manifold is restrictive compared to a header witch causes heat. It has been tested and proven on paper its drop on average 100 degree egt. I know Somone that has a cheapyy one and he had egts drop but spool up was slower. But like anyone know you can't have the best of both worlds a quicker spool system will run hotter I was just cerious if anyone has actually had one I wanted to hear what they would have to say about it thank though I would do mani but. Header runs cooler and its Somthing different ill let you guys know what I get out of the hole deal thanks
More volume results in more lag time but also for the more volume reduces heats, that is just what I learned over the years and seeing dyne runs to back it up but im no expert I could be wrong in some circumstances
