cutting muffler ?

Default cutting muffler ?

My muffler is chicken wired on and was wondering if it is alright to cut it off right between the cat and muffler , and is that okay if I don't add pipe to it right away ??? thanks guys , I am doing this tomorrow so answers are appreciated

If you ok with the noise in the cab, cut it where ever you want, it won't hurt the truck

hmm , how much louder would you think the noise would change ??? , it is bassically just like a straight pipe right ?

Yup just ends under your bed the noise will resonate more, stick a turndown on it and it will help

I did it guys ! , it sounds awesome you can really here the turbo whistle and it sounds better to me...I am going to buy about 5 feet of bent 4 inch pipe to put on and have it sticking out the passenger side door !!! thanks for the help guys..

haha the question is not what cat? but what muffler? i didnt know anybody ever left a muffler on a first gen that was the first thing to go on my truck!!!! btw i got hit with a no muffler ticket once by a sherriff and he tried to add no cat to that also. you can bet that i fought that one in court

haha , there are no laws on the cats here , nobody has em, and i live in a bit of a hick town anyway
