Question Let's play name the cause of the leaking on my injector pump!

My injector pump is leaking when cold only at idle and above idle at the power screw, was worse when the locking nut was loose, maybe the original cause of the start of the leak and now is worse that I replaced the fuel filter and lift pump at the same time but stops when the engine is at operating temp(good and hot(180 degrees(new fail safe thermostat))).

On your fuel screw there is an o ring that can go bad over time or from being cranked in to far. When you take it out to look make sure it is or isn't that o ring count the number of turns it takes to get that screw out n put it back in the same amount of turns. even if it's 15.75 turns put it back in 15.75 turns or a lil less.

Cool, just got done messing with turning it up the rest of the way, except I did not take the boost AFC spring out yet. It was pretty much turned up all the way except for the nylon washer that was in it and I messed with the smoke screw, dunno how I'm gonna keep it, playing to see if it helps low rpm spool up or not. I'm just not sure if it will or not, if its worth the extra smoke or I want to get rid of more smoke, I want to be just a black haze coming out the exhaust at full throttle. That's what I've learned to put it at anyways.

Take the nylon washer out. All it does is limit how far the fuel pin travels at peak boost for a lil more top end fuel.

Oh man, gotta take stuff off again to look at the power screw!

I have a two tone blue AFC spring in my boost area. What's the deal? Why is it not pink and all muticolored? Is it because I have a manual transmission?

No my 93 had multi colored ones same with my 90. I had a VW VE pump laying here I stole the afc spring out of. If I remember right it's a stiffer spring.
