I have a 91 reg cab long bed, does anyone know were i can find the correct tank straps? I dont have the originals to copy and make new ones, and im sure you know they dont have the correct ones at part stores, dealership wants over 100$ each ha! yeah right

 

Is there a supplier in your area that sells new tanks, In my town the local radiator shop sells tanks and can get straps as well.

 

i got my new ones right through napa, bolted right on with no problem

 

I ended up making my own

 

You could probably make your own with a bench vise, some flat steel and a hammer. Have you looked at local junk yards? There is a few first gens at my local one.

 

We always just welded up the old ones on the Dodge, they always broke. My Dad always had Dodges and the tank straps always broke and we would just weld the old ones back together.
