Preview pics before nighttime, I'll put one up later of the dash as a whole after it gets real dark.

Standard 194 bulb base. I used LEDs from superbrightleds.com. also I opened up the speedo case and lined it with ducting foil tape to help spread the light around. and I agree the dim green had to go.

a note on those leds is that the greater the 'Viewing angle' is the more coverage it will spread around, but i will be slightly dimmer than a more narrow angle.

Not too hard to do, just take dash trim off and unscrew the instrument cluster pull it out and there should be 4 lights around the backside IIRC, twist out, change bulb, twist back in.

Sorry, have not looked in here in quite a while now. Its really not that difficult, I have to drop my steering column to get my dash bezel out and take out the instrument panel and take out the stock bulbs and remove the shades that create the color in the dash out, if you don't want them rattling around in your gauge area, but if you don't care you don't have to take out the whole instrument cluster if you don't want to, I did, but the long ones fit in the first gen dash well, they knock out the color sheilds so the rattle around in the gauge area so I suggest taking them out, the most difficult part is removing the old bulbs from the holders without damaging the holders, you have to get the positive and negative correct when installing LEDs in, you just flip the holder around clock it 180 degrees and put it back in and the LED should work then, its kind of a pain in the rear, but oh well, its worth it to me for the K00L look. I used these LEDs from ebay, they don't burn out like the others I have had.> Blue 1pc 25 SMD LED T10 Car RV Light W5W 168 194 Wedge Bulbs Lamp 12V DC Uf | eBay
