TUNE-UP
i just recently purchase a 1990 d250 that has 200,000 miles and it runs and sounds great. i was wondering what all i should look at and check out before any modifications. just need to know if there is any tuning that needs to be done.
yea, ive already got a pyrometer. i havent fixed the kdp yet. probably wouldnt be a bad idea before i kill it. but i was wondering about things like the valves, valve springs, transmission, are the valve covers tight enough, etc. basically just a thorough inspection. this is my first diesel and i just want to make sure it stays in good working order. also i love this truck so much i dont think ill ever own anything but a diesel again

yeah i know how you feel i will never own anything but a first gen as my dailey driver. i have 200,000 on my truck and i have never ckecked anything like valve springs and what not, i have never had to it has always ran amazing. i do however change every fluid in my truck every 3,000 just because i love working on my truck and have way too much time on my hands
