Default which valve body and torque converter?

What's a good valve body and torque converter? I am ready to upgrade but not sure which ones to buy. I have a stock input shaft too. Its a 47re transmission.

My goal is around 400-500 hp. What HP is a single disk good for?

Do you have a single or triple disc converter? Is there a big difference going from stock to aftermarket?

I heard shift kits don't hold enough pressure and still cause slipping issues.
