Default 3-4 accumulator piston

this is my first post ive gotten alot of help from this forum so thanks. anyway i have a 94 dodge 3500 12 valve with 116k miles. i bought it a while back it has a rebuilt 47rh on it but it was not shifting outta 2nd gear. the guy had money so he just bought a new truck. i dropped the pan and i pulled the accumulator out. out came a broken spring. so now the bad i have no receipts or service paper work from the previous owner and i cannot find the parts. i have found the spring but i cant find the piston. i dont need to replace the piston but i want too. it is not the 47rh 3-4 accumulator piston that u search and it comes up on sonnax where the spring goes around the piston. mine is a cylinder type piston and the whole spring goes inside it. i have look all over, i went to dodge dealer today they dont have it so ive came to the conclusion that it is an aftermarket part. any help finding it would be appreciated or any info i should know thanks

Can you call the previous owner and see if he knows where the part came from?

IIRC, the sonax piston you're describing replaces the 3 piece. It was designed for "soft application" look up PATC transmissions. I believe I got the same servo you're describing from them.

that is the accumulator in the valvebody. you should be able to get that thru PATC like stated. my shift kit came with all the stuff to delete the spring. buy the shift kit for $50 so you know you have adiquite line pressure and do what you want with the accumulator. there is a heavier spring and or a metal sleave you put in its place.
