I'm having some trouble with shifting from first to second gear I have to bring the truck over 2000 RPM and back off sharply then get back into it in order for it to shift from first to second what could cause this everything else seems to be okay all other gears it shifts just fine and the TC locks up fine its just the shift from first to second. Any ideas?

 

i would check the throttle linkage to trans for adjustment,

i think throttle position sensor works with it too, there are sites on how to check it with voltmeter too.

i think there is a governor on the valvebody that can cause erratic shifting too

thats where i would start anyway
