Default Rear End

I've been having vibrations comming from the rear of the truck. I had a bearing kit, and axle seals done with new gear oil about 5000 miles ago. Now it's leaking in the front and back and the axle seal on the passenger rear is leaking again.

With the vibration, my ABS light comes on. Not sure if this would be caused by the rear end or not.

I checked the U-joints and they look okay, which leads me to believe that it comes from the rear end.

Rear ends are not a common issue on these trucks?

Thanks

Take the weight off the rear tires then check the u joint for play. I just did mine, i didn't have vibrations but only two caps were getting grease and needless to say the needle bearings in the other two were powder. look on the drive shaft for weights that could have came off.

did you do the rear end your self or did someone else. for one if you re-did it not long ago it shouldnt be leaking from every seal on the thing if the seals were installed right. are you sure the rear end was set up properly? could pull the pan and look at your ring gear to make sure by looking at the wear pattern on the gears. but another guess would be have you looked at your tires one could be out of balance or have a broken belt. switch them around and see if the vibration starts comming from the front. (should be able to feel it in the steering wheel a lot more)

I had the seals replaced and everything looked fine in the rear end. It looks like the u-joint on the drivers side front axle seems to have a bit of play.

I will get my summer rubber on with a re-balance, and we'll see if there's anything else. But seems better now.

Thanks for the inut.
