96 3500.
I am looking at a 96 3500 dually 4x4. Truck is in pretty good shape. It came out of new hampshire last year. Very limited rust though. It has a trans built by Northeast Performance Diesel in Milford, NH. It also has isspro pyro, boostn and trans temp gauges. I have been around a lot of 5.9s, but only in stock applications. Mainly generators and meduim duty trucks. This perticular rig has a #10 fuel plate installed, a "gutted" AFC, an intake elbow, and a 4inch turbo back MBRP exhaust. What I want to know is what to look for as far as performance goes. It will be a tow rig. Mostly a small, but heavy old horse trailer for now (tag along style)... I just need insight on how it should run. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
THANKS!!!!!!
THANKS!!!!!!
Sounds like the previous owner did it right since they had gauges, intake, exhaust, and a built tranny already. The only thing I don't like is the gutted AFC. But other than that, it sounds like it would be a good rig, the #10 plate is a nice boost over stock but not as agressive as a #0 or #100. How many miles on it?
