Just bought a 98 12v cummins with horse trialer and I'm looking to unlock some ponies. Looking for cheap mods that I can do to add alittle more power to the thing and driveway mods are always a bonus. So what are my options and how toos would be a bonus

 

is the truck completely stock? Do you have gauges? Fill out your sig?

 

Get a set of gauges (boost/pyro). Governor spring kit, fuel plate adjust or new fuel plate, boost elbow and advance the timing a hair or two 16*. If you pull the front cover you can check and tab the KDP and do the timing while you have the cover off even though it is not necessary to have the cover off to do the timing it just makes it easier. You will need the timing tool kit you can get through snap on or miller (I'm looking for one now because mine got cannibalized). There is a video floating around somewhere I think on YouTube for the timing and KDP.
