fuel problems

Default fuel problems

i have 95 12v cummins all stock just fuel plate takin out. my problem is is that its not getting fuel now i changed the filter already..... sooo could it be my lift pump?

lift pump or a messed up fuel heater or a rusted line pre lift pump ect ect. are you getting any fuel at the pump?


OR if this just happened right after you bolted the afc back on? is the shut down syolonoid jammed/bound at all. it has to be free moving while you tighten the bolts back down or it wont engage when you turn the key to start it and THUS no fuel!!! been there done that.

im getting fuel to the pump it just seems as if im not getting enough pressure ..... i took the plate out about 9 months ago and i havent any problems until now

i wish i could know my self ..... my truck was lagin really bad when it started doin this as if like it was getting restricted from fuel now its just to the point where it wont even fire

I would check the shutoff solenoid. Generally low fuel pressure causes white smoke and pop first. If you don't have a fuel pressure gauge and the other required tools its best to take it to a qualified tech for if nothing else a diagnosis. We can't tell you what's wrong without data like fuel pressure, timing and the rest of the basics.

ya thats another it smokes pretty good but when it started laggin and everything it didn smoke at all

You probably wont hurt a pump but we just can't properly diagnose a vehicle online even if every member was a master tech .
