Default Rear end help!

hows it going fellas. My rear end just went out.. Stuck in buying one from the junk yard or rebuilding mine. Also im not able to find the gearing on my rear end.. Only # I found on my rear end were " Dana 46293".. I need to find out the gears on it...

If there isn't a tag under one of the cover bolts; you're stuck pulling the cover to count teeth or looking for the engraved ratio on the ring gear.

Yup Divide # or ring gear teeth by # of pinion gear teeth

yep count ring teeth divide by pinion teeth, how did you break it and what did you break, ive done quite a few boosted launches and pulled over 10k and mines been fine, nice lookin truck by the way looks quite similar to mine

I have a 97 dually and the info is under the hood!!! If you havent looked yet.

On my 98 the underhood sticker said I had 4.10's, but it didn't seem right. So I jacked up the back, had my brother turn the wheel once around while I counted the driveshaft revolutions. Turns out I had 3.55's. (Probably changed by the 1 previous owner)
