Default blowby

so ive been having really bad blowby. people are saying they used valvoline oil and theirs went away. i blew a gasket or something below the heads forgot what its called. and i was told by gillet diesel that i would need an engine overhaul. i would hope changing the oil willhelp i really dont want to rebuild the engine.

I don't think changing what flavor of oil you use is going to have any effect on the blow by.

If the blow by is that bad then only a set of rings will cure it. Oil is a bit if a long shot, how many miles?

I highly doubt that the oil is going to help enough to make a difference. Even if it does for a little while its like putting a band aid on a broken arm, its not going to make it any better later on.

Change the oil and filter. Use Fram TOUGH Guard TG3976A (a very good filter- don't use regular fram).
Pour in 2 gallons of Rotella and 4 quarts of Marvel Mystery Oil (MMO).
Run it gently for 1000 miles or less then fill with 3 gallons of Rotella 15w40 replace with new TG3976A filter.

if the vacuum pump is on its way out it will pressurize the crankcase and give massive blow by.. fram is junk...stick with fleetguard or donaldson dont believe me do research filter analysis...
