It was not any of those. It was low on transmission fluid. We were about to head to a shop to see how much it would cost to fix the problem. Before we left it occured to us it might be low on transmission fluid. And sure enough, it was a quart and a half low. Sorry about that everyone!

 

If you've tried to pass with fluid low enough to cause low line pressure related slip its very possible you've caused some clutch and steel issues or possibly a band issue. I always recommend that folks check oil before firing it up in the morning and trans fluid weekly... its the basics of protecting your investment

Even though this is an old thread, I have to share this. We always check the fluids every weekend, its just something that started a day or 2 before i started this thread. About 3 days after the last reply, we took it to a mechanic. Turns out someone before us patched the fluid line with a rubber hose piece and some metal hose clamps. Me and my brother replaced them and it hasn't been leaking at all. I feel pretty stupid now.
