Default Need a little help

So I want to build up my truck just a little need some advice on whats best and safe for my truck and tranny. So I have been looking into a CFM+ intake manifold iv been hearning and reading tons of great things about this product. By adding this am I going to hurt my tranny by the + hp of this product? also been looking into fuel plat slide but iv read lots about how that can effect the tranny? What is the safest and least cost bang for a buck? Thanks for any help, I already have cold air intake, Exhaust, Also going to get a EGT gauge.

I've always heard that ur money is better spent somewhere else than the intake horn on a pretty much stock truck the factory one performs fine

x2. you can make a huge amount of power with the stock intake. your tranny need upgraded with the engine stock. PLAN FOR THIS. TC and VB

freebies for the engine.

grind a fuel plate
tune the afs with and do the washer flip
you can turn the barrels (i said it) let the hate mail start. LOL
shim your gov springs ( i wouldnt do this one)

pretty cheap ones
4k gov springs ( by far and away the best bang for your buck.
boost elbow. get your boost to 32ish lbs

i cant put a HP number on it but it is a HUGE upgrade over stock. if you just do the 3ks you dont need to worry about valve springs or anything. hp is a way hard number to guess. HP is the rate at which an engine makes torque. every engine is different

Very true thank you for the great info. So would you do this over the intake manifold? or do both? is doing the springs sim to a fuel plat?

an intake does help but very very little in the grand scheem of things on these engines. they look nice if you want one buy one but its really not a hp adder.
the gov springs are more involved than a fuel plate but if your familiar with a few hand tools and take your time its not bad at all.

So what would be a down fall of doing a boost elbow? turms of more than just adding a boost elbow. Would I be looking at more than just the 35 bucks for a elbow? and What are the benneys of a boost elbow. On the intake manifold im not set on one I just want a little more kick on my truck and just going thu all my options cost wise. not looking at spending lots of green backs. All your help is great thank you

you can get an elbow cheaper than that. and it raises your boost from 17-19psi to 30-35psi. thats a pretty big deal for $20! take you 10 min. to install it. the KICK will come with the gov springs. it will rev higher much faster
