Default Ground Activated

Does anyone know if the lights on the second gen trucks are ground activated? I need to install daytime running lights and I need to confirm this before I purchase the DRL module.

Thanks,

Since mine is a 98 and is a U.S truck without DRLs, would it be safe to assume they are ground controlled? How do I check to make sure?

Response appreciated.

The pull out type headlamp switches are switched power, We have a 98 12valve up here and its ground controlled. 98 might go either way. Id say if you have pull out type switch its switched power and if you have the flip switch the headlamps are ground controlled.

Mines a 98 12V and it is a pull out switch. I've heard many things and am trying to determione what I have before I buy the DRL module.

i have a '96 with drls and the modual is on the inside of the drivers fender around the brake booster i wonder if they might have wired them all for drls for the sake of simplicity. is there an empty plug in that area? mine is a canadian truck built in mexico if that makes any difference

I've checked and there is a plug there but it is not for the DRL module. Wuld have been nice if it were that easy. I would like to know what that plug is for though.
