Got myself a new toy
So I jumped on a deal, a slight risk but I'm not to concerned about it.
The truck: 1998 dodge R2500, 8 inch lift/37s, great shape with 190kms on it. Other mods I know of: fuel plate of some sorts, 30 hp injectors, studs, new head(issue area), gauges, race trans, and that's what I've found so far.
Now onto the risky part, I bought the truck with a leaky head gasket, it's only leaking out and not into a cylinder, with the recent head job would you guys just re-torque the head and pray or should I just pull it apart?
And i know the sequence and all but what should I go up to? After searching I have found many opinions, most common seems to be 120 ft/lbs.
Any other things I should look into right now? Thanks in advance for te replies and great site!

Take it apart and check for squarness on the block and the head, and replace with a fresh head gasket. Sounds fishy to have a leaky head gasket with studs...unless they were not torqued or retorqued properly. The A1 studs I installed on mine said 125 fl-lbs with at least one cold retorque before break in (I cold retorqued mine 48 hours after I installed and torqued the head before ever firing up), and optional warm retorque to 125 ft-lbs after/during break in. Don't forget to check the valves after the retorque in case there was any gasket settling.

Well I had a couple spare hours tonight so I did a bit of work to it, bolts were all torqued and I found out to trust noone anyways, I took the valve covers off to do some looking around and found that not even all the studs were done! So now I'm going to tear it all down and do it right with arps and what gasket do you guys recommend?
