Default 12v Blue Smoke

So for the past couple days we have had some nice weather and Ive been driving the truck alot.

Now that there has been sun Ive noticed that it seems like there is alot of blue smoke mixed in with the coal, more then I thought there was. Im almost thinking that its worse then when I first got the truck.

Ive also noticed that when I start the truck for the first time in the morning (32-25*) that when I high Idle it to 1500rpm it just blows blue but still runs smooth.

It has always lit right off without a single missfire. The only things Ive done to the truck is change the oil, fuel filter, and remove the plate. Everything else was already done.

Any Ideas on what might be failing here? Or is this a normal 12v thing?

Does it go away once the trucks warmed up?

Timing would be my guess. It does degrade over time with wear to the gears, pump and injectors. Check the overflow valve too I would say as a start as well.

To some extent yes. The idle smoke and high idle smoke go away. Only when Ive got a load on it and am acelerateing or rolling coal do I see the blue.

Maybe Im just being paranoid.

I know the timing is somewhat retarded becuase it wont wind up past 3k without getting rough and blowing smoke.

I'd chalk it up to a cold motor with a lil bit retarded timing. So nothin outta the normal. Get the timing fixed and I bet most of it goes away.

Mine smokes like crazy now when I fire it up. Only start it every so often and with it bein cold she pours out the smoke until she warms up.

I had my buddie follow me in his powerchoke yesterday and he said it just jet black coming out of the pipe so Im ok now.

Ya Ive heard you useually have to give this 12v's some go peddle to get them to light off but I never have it starts like the 24v. Maybe thats a good thing or maybe not Im not sure.
