mix and matching clutches and flywheels
ok, i'm gonna confuse people with what i've got going on here
1st - i'm putting a 96 12v in my ford with a zf5 behind it.
2nd - i need a flywheel to put behind the cummins (mine had a flywheel). 13" flywheel will fit in a zf5 bellhousing
3rd - a local guy has a flywheel off an 07 for sale cheap (g56 13" flywheel)
4th - nv5600 clutches are cheaper, rated for more power, and more user friendly than nv4500 12" clutches (looking at 400hp rated organic clutch for 5600)
now, can i machine holes in a g56 flywheel to hold a 5600 clutch? and will a g56 flywheel bolt up to the back of a 12v?
let me know what wont work here and what you'd do

flywheel & clutch
I did my own 12v conversion on my 87 f350 cc 4x4. Here is what I bought and it works perfectly. I'm a #5 fuel plate cold air intake and boost tube plugged, rack plug 4k-gsk,60lb springs it runs 38lbs boost and makes 382hp and 844tq on the rollers. 13" clutches are pricey and not really needed for a middle of the road hot-rod. Btw i'm a tight wad with cash so I did my research and here is my combo-sachs nfw7223 flywheel cost 130ish new shipped to the door, inmotion clutch stage 3 organic rated 400hp and 900tq 12 1/4" disc size for $325 to the door and a 6303-2rs bearing for the pilot bearing 3.89 to the door. So I achieved a $1200 set up for under $500 via e-bay. Good products are out there for reasonable prices you just gotta do your research. I reg pull upwards of 14k and i'm not easy on it by any means,it has NEVER slipped. Btw the 5600 stuff is the wrong input shaft size it's 1 3/8 10 spline the zf requires 1 1/4 10 spline.

awsome! great info man, thanks for the help. i'll be keeping those part #s for sure
what did you do for an adaptor? did you go destroked or fordcummins rout? havent heard good things about fordcummins but im wondering if their $700 adaptor is good enough. saving $100 from going with a destroked adaptor would be nice.
