Ok my friend has a 1996 5 speed with a 5 inch and a #10 plate, soot spittin threw all gears all the way to red line(fades as you go) can beat the crap out of it and barly use fuel. My 160 pump before i 100'd the plate it wouldnt do that. i have drivin about 805 miles in the last 18 days and put about 50-60 gallons in so thats like 16-13 mpg and yes i play with it but not all the time everyday. that was with a 180 pump stock fuel plate push all the way forward. the only thing i know that is wrong with the truck is the waste gate is locked up and the tube that is suppose to go to the waste gate hard line by the pump is pluged. WHY IS THAT???


P.S What can i look for other then the waste gate to have this happening? fuel pressure to the pump? bad injectors??

Drive test for PSI at 30mph ish its at like 2 psi and 52 mpg in 4th is like 6 psi.

Look for your buddy siphoning your tank in the middle of the night

 

No we narrowed down the things it could be and we came up with the pump timing slipped.
