47rh not tcc not locking in
Hey guys this is my first thread I've done before and do have a headache.
I have looked up multiple threads from diffrent sites. the henrys book from autozone, took it to a shop NTG Racing located here in san diego, and also have access to on demand 5. I'll tell you what I have done. I thought the TSP was bad, so I bought a new one from autozone (later hearing bad idea.) then proceeded to adjust the throttle linkage so the TSP would be in voltage specs at idle and WOT. we tweaked it a ton and now its reading properly. We then proceeded to adjust the kickdown cable, thats good now. I wrapped all the wires coming off of the alternator in tin foil with electrical tap in case there was any frequency interference. put a grounding wire on the PCM to the ground that connects the negative terminal to the chassis. the torque converter locks up "sometimes" if not at all. mostly it locks in when going up giant hills and or mountains. also rarely when going up the mountain or hill it wont kick into OD unless you hammer down, let off and ease it back into gear. I have three things I have not done yet. 1.my battery wires are pretty dang corroded but I get great voltage. 2. the bands I'm pretty sure havent been adjusted in forever. 3. maybe the torque converter is bad or a valve is sticking.. I'm at a loss and I really dont want to take it in and spend money that I might not need to. If you guys have any ideas please by all means. thanks. oh the tranny is on rebuild #1 was done at 100k now i'm at 186k
