I have a 96 cummins 12 valve and I live in Ohio where it gets really cold in the winter and I'm going to be driving it every day and I was wondering what would be the best oil to use in the winter? Thanks!

 

I'm running Valvoline 15W40, just plug it in

 

But what if I can't always plug it in. It's my daily driver

 

I run 15W40 all year, your just gona have to left it warm up longer, which is a good thing

At any rate it has to be a CI rated oil, I've seen 5w40 before but I lived in Ohio for two years and it doesn't get cold enough for that. Not going to argue, it gets cold and wind chill is fierce.
