when ur not driving it u should cover the stack, it will fil with water and when u start the truck it blows black water all over the truck. alot of guys drill a hole in the 90* elbow so the water can drain.

I'm thinking about a straight cut stack with a flapper cap this on top of it. But would the cap freeze shut?

yes you can. cost depends on whether you buy a kit or piece it together yourself. I pieced my kit together, you need a 90 degree, a stack, and a little extra pipe. To hold it in place, I bolted a plate down to the bed, run the exhaust up through it, and welded the pipe to the plate.

Any exhaust shop should, but I would try to find a diesel performance shop. They could probably do everything you need them to (performance and otherwise), if you dont want to yourself.
