Exhaust idea need help engineering
Hey fellas. I just put 6" black stacks on my truck and it looks sweet. However I found a downside this deer season, it's too loud when I'm trying to sneak into the woods. I'm trying to design an exhaust system that would have a bypass valve for a muffler. It'll be straight piped most of the time like it is now, but those certain times would be nice to be stealthy. I've thought about 2 Y pipes to but I can't design a good way to block the flow to the muffler to keep the open flow most of the time. Thanks

There are no checks for exhaust systems in my area. Too rural.

x2 on the diverter valve.
x2 on good luck being stealthy with a cummins.
Diverter valves are nice, cars have simlilaur things and come in very handy in certain situations.
My opinion is to just choose a quite or loud system and stick with it.
less complexity, less problems. Which is why a 12v Cummins is known for reliability in the first place

You wanna sneak into the woods driving a cummins and you think a muffler is gonna do the trick
