Default Truck with a few mods.....not so fast??

Hey guys, I am pretty new to the 12v world and diesels in general. I have recently picked up a 1994 Automatic 4x4 with 241K that has a few mods done to it and it just doesn't feel as fast as I expected based on posts and articles I have read and the few other trucks that are modded in my area. I am just wondering if there is something wrong with my truck or if I am just in need of more fuel

Mod list:
No plate
Tuned AFC
Shaved Barrel
Shaved Washer in AFC
Boost Elbow (maxed out)
16* of Timing
AFE Intake Elbow with K+N Cone
MBRP 4" TB Straight Pipe Exhaust
BD Double Disc Converter
Trans-Go VB kit
Electric Fans
Gauges (pyro, boost, trans temp)
Cummins High Mileage Club Badge for 200,000 (I know this doesn't add power, but it looks cool) LOL

My trans does not seem to be slipping, the truck just doesn't seem all that quick. I'm leaning towards the fact that it still has stock nozzles (will be remedied tmr), and that is is a heavy *** truck. Tell me what you think. Thanks for your responses in advance

What is your truck? 2500, 3500, long short, cab, gears?
I know my 3500 with the Mods I have is still a toad, won't get out of its own way, but it is a big ugly, heavy pig with 6 tires and smells funny.

I aggree timing around 20, governor springs are the best bang money can buy, and rotate the barrels for an extra 50 horse. It will be a different truck.

Truck is a regular cab long bed 4x4 automatic. Well, 5x12s went in today, surprisingly it already had 215s in it. Bumped the timing a little too. I figure I'm close to 20* right now with a little over 1/2" on the balancer. The truck seems to run well under boost, but it has what seems to be a common problem out of boost with chugging from 1000-1400RPM. It chugged a tiny bit before, but I always chalked that up to the low stall converter........

Still doesn't feel fast. I'm thinking maybe overflow valve???

BTW, 4K GSK gets here tmr

To much fuel killing bottom end a little. Half inch on the balancer should be around 6 more degrees over what you had. .084 inches per degree roughly. 6x.084 = .504 If you had 16 you are right at 22. Timing is going to kill a little bit of your bottom end but I feel it's worth it for power it makes.

I have just over 1/2" from stock, not over where I was yesterday. Should have been more clear I guess. I also tried setting the timing back to see if it fixed the chugging and it didn't. I was thinking possibly too much fuel except there is no smoke. I would think if it is getting enough fuel to choke out on the bottom end, that it would puff some smoke????

I need to throw a fuel pressure gauge on this thing
