How do I know whitch input shaft to us there are a wide bearing and narrow bearing shafts

 

Call the vin into the dealer and they will tell you if its a dhd or dld

 

There is a tag on the back of the transfercase. mine was a dld. And just to save you some time and money, make damn sure your new input shaft has a freeze plug in it and the bearing? The a$$h$lEs i got mine through failed to notify me that the shaft did not have the plug and bearing in it! When i ordered it they said it was completely ready to install. Well lets just put it this way, they dont know crap! it caused my tcase to fill my trans with atf! cost me $130 in trans oil bc i had to drain and replace with 4 more quarts. not to mention i had completely disasseble the transfer case.And all you texas guys watch the place in san antonio wont say the name but they are a big well known manual trans and gear place. shipping is horrible and service sucks!
