im doin the switch now but going t a flatbed. im changing the whole dash and every thing. im going from 99 reg to a 97 extended cab. the vin is on the dash so mine will stay a 99. the title says 2 door and it still has 2 doors. i bought a whole parts truck for 300 and im cutting the rear cab mounts off the 97 and welding them on the 99 frame. i havent noticed a problem with the sending unit yet but im still a ways from there. i really dont have much time in it. most of the time has been gutting the whole interior for decon as it was full of mice, chipmunks and mud. the carpet after power washing weighs about 100lbs less !
