hope you have your reading glasses on.. dude i have done the switch and had it finished from start to finish in 4 days. and i worked for 2 of the days at my normal job. you DO have to put a body lift on the truck because the cab will hit the sending unit on the tank... for the wheelbase, no big deal, what i did was.. the wheel bases are exactly 4 inches different so you leave off the box and measure 4 inches behind of the front holes on each side of the perches. used a cold chisel and busted off the rivets that hold the perches on and bought grade 8 bolts and nuts for the relocation and when they were tight i welded the nut on the bolt. for the rear shackels you have to modify the bumper bracket by cutting off a few inches but leave enough to still get 2 bolts in on each side of the bumper bracket.. for the drive shaft i had one lengthened and balanced for $90. the shock mounts are going to have to be custom. for the lift i used a 3 inch square tubing and where i had to move the cab mounts i didnt use a block i just moved up my body mount.
for the body i currently have a 97 ex cab shorty 1500 v8 magnum.. haha with a 12 valve and a 5-speed.. sounds like alot but it was pretty easy any questions i am happy to help.

you do not have to move the axel back right away. if you are running stock tires you will clear because of the three inch lift....
if you have a good set of tools and a good shop and couple of good helpers.. you can have the cab done in an easy day.. what i would do is just gut the dash and everything outta the other truck before to save time..the wiring harness and everything. leave the fenders and everything on the truck. you can unhook the wires at the firewall pull the steering column and everything. then as your welding up the body mounts you can have someone running wires.. i have 3 brothers and were close so we got it done real nice and quick.
