I been looking for mine, and can't see it on the line. Is it just hiding. The PO had the Stealer install a trani, think they didn't install the check valve

 

it should be right off the cooler maybe a foot off? maybe less i cant really remember but wherever it is get it out

 

its right off the exchange cooler thats under the turbo, had one the was stuck on my friends jeep (518-same tranny) and his didnt last but a few miles after the rebuild, it totally messed up that tranny

 

ya like cumminspwr11 said even if the tranny is brand new like mine was when it happened if it sticks your gonna cook it, no doubt in my mind a dodge tranny will last a very long time if the check valve is out the fluid and filter is changed ever 24xxx along with correct band adjustments i also read that if you tow allot cut the 24k in half and do it ever 12k!!!

 

oh we did more than cook it, melted the intermediate shaft to the governor support plate, along with melted the rear sprag, and a few other things that melted

 

ya i hear ya mine was how did the guy say it ow yeah looked like a volcano erupted inside my tranny

 

Yeah, I'm ripping mine out this weekend
