Well guys I got my nv4500 tore down to replace the parts it needs and rebuild it. My question is Im still trying to figure out what to do on the main shaft. I'm doing an auto to 5 speed swap and I was thinking about using the dodge gas 23 spline main shaft. Will all the bearings and gears work on that shaft. I have read where they say the 5th gear is a different spline and nut is different. I'm not building a pulling truck I'm just wanting a reliable daily driver. So any input would be nice. I would rather do mods to the trans than have to tare the t-case apart to. Please chime in on your experiences.
