fine tune your afc, it takes lots of tinkering to get it where you want it, you probably have it too soft right, the little amount of boost at low end is pushing the foot all the way forward too soon. you can tighten the afc spring up some and also move the afc housing forward and backward to get it where you like it

Which way should I start moving? Forward? or Back? how do i adjust the spring? I haven't messed with P-pumps too much.

you could take some rack travel out of the pump by sliding your plate back

ya take the afc housing off and use a blower nozzle, the "star wheel" is just a nut on a threaded shaft lefty tighty, righty loosely, i believe the closer you move it too the front of the truck the tighter it is

buy the stiffer spring from pure diesel power, tune the afc with shop air so it doesnt move until about 20 psi, and move your plate around until your topend fuel and spoolup fuel like each other
