i am looking at a 97 regular cab 12 valve with 200,xxx miles, has a 5 speed with 5th gear updated, 550 south bend clutch with upgraded hydralics and big imput shaft, head studs, 191 dv's, 370 sticks, super hx 40, 5 inch exhaust. pump modded, pump rebuilt 10,000 miles ago, very little rust like almost none, rhino liner, lots of chrome and the guy wants $8,000 for it. is it worth it?

 

Has the truck been beat on? I am always weary of trucks that are already built. I personally like to do the performance upgrades myself just so I know its done right.

However, that sounds like a decent price always shoot a low ball offer and work your way up to the asking price. Never know may get it cheaper.

 

i know the two people who have owned it since 100,000 miles, the guy that built the truck up is a full time diesel mechanic so i know it was done right, the truck has never been pulled or raced. pretty much a daily driver for the past 4 years
