ok i have a 98 12v. the retard before me put a nv4500 in it(used to be a auto). he did a terrable job. I have no speedo, oil pres gauge, fuel gauge drops to e often, temp gauge is incorrect. it has a gasser dash. i have install temp and oil press. my tach works. i just want my speedo. any ideas? i have replaces oil sending unit and speed sensor in rear diff didn't help either. he put a jumper in the starter relay, i put a relay in it wont work. i didn't have a shut off solinoid, so i put a kill cable.

i would say to pull the dash and check the plugs really well, make sure he plugged everything in! then if that doesn't work find a diesel cluster and try it. gasser might not read right for the diesel signal but he speedo should work either way so i don't know.
make sure he plugged everything in when doing the swap.
