I'm not sure a bike pump will hold the pressure so any problems with the diaphram can be seen on the gauge. but try it what the ?????
let me know how you make out. I read where U had 9 PSI boost and that isn't good.

I put a hose adapter into the bike pump and the bike pump has a 100psi gauge on it, the wastegate didn't even hold 10 psi and I could feel the air coming out of the waste gate actuator . has anyone used the BD wastegate actuator? its listed at $152 or should i spend the money on the banks big head actuator?

Did the actuator move any?? You should have seen the rod move some with pressure applied. But if the diaphram is shot, it may not move.
Good luck.

the actuator did not move at all, and air just came out of the actuator. I ordered the BANKS BIG HEAD actuator from summit racing for $184 the BD was $152 but would take a week to get it. and the banks should be here tomorrow. I checked all the boots and pressure lines and couldn't find any cracks or disconnects I hope this fixes it!!!!

What are the normal boost operating pressures for the 12v and how high can i go with stock bolts and springs with out damaging my engine ?

35psi is about max for your stock turbo and head gasket. if your doing 40 plus your turbo and head gasket will hate you.

I took the truck out and ran it up Donner pass my max boost was 23psi. What would the difference be if i turn up my boost to 30psi? and how do i turn up the boost?

Does anyone know of a good but inexpensive exhaust manifold and cold air intake I want to get rid of my CA emission crap. Nevada doesn't require it.

Some good threads to read on the subject.

Change out you air horn with an aftermarket or 49 state unit. Just cap off the EGR port on the exhaust.

Some trucks will get a check engine light, some don't. I did the resistor mod to the EGR plug and have had no issues. Dam thing can breath now.

First build the transmission to handle power. Do the KDP fix. Get gauges. Make sure your truck runs correctly stock before you start to modify. Then do the easy stuff like exhaust, and air intake. Now move on to the pump with a fuel plate and GSK kit. Use the search for this section to learn how it all works.
