Default Big hp and fuel milage question

I was either debating to build my truck or just get anothr vehicle. My goal is to have around 550-650hp. But I was just curious, with you guys havin that much hp what is your fuel mileage roughly? Bc the truck is a all around truck bit im gonna driveing alot. Would it help to have that much hp?

your fuel milage should be similar to a lower hp truck the problem with streeting a bunch of HP is that it is almost impossible to make an everything truck. the truck will wear itself out much faster than it would if it were in the relm of 400hp but for a daily driver street truck why would you need more? im addicted too and its hard to pull the needle out. LOL

Yea it is, to pull the needle out. But. I guess the only reason im wanting big hp is just to have the power and I can do whatever I want. But can you give me a rough est. On mpg like 18mpg or so. The truck is geared 3.55 so that's gonna help alittle bit. Also I don't mean to sound stuiped but the way your sounding, it sounds like getting another vehicle is the best answer.

I found out a long time ago that having a diesel truck is much more fun if you have a beater car for a comuter/daily driver.

x2 on the beater car. i'm doin alot of work to my truck, so when i've got it apart, im rockin a 97 pontiac sunfire that i paid $250 for hahaha but with the mpg question, i'm roughly around 400hp and i can get around 19. its all in ur right foot.

550-650 is not big hp IMO that can be done easily with a good set of small twins, spool fast and get over 20 mpg but it's all in the driver and matching the right parts. To get it to that point you will go through a lot of parts and the truck will be down more than you want. Get another ride.

That's guys!! Im either thinkin about getting another diesel like a CR but im gonna leave it stock and use it for driving back and forth. Or im thinkin like a small old toyota truck. Something with high mpg. But im still deciding on It. But far as I know, im getting 50 dollars for each drill and right now, im wasting more money on fuel.
