Default 96 12v vs. Duramax

Allright brand new to diesel bombers and got a question for everyone I got a 96 12v 5spd 4x4, bench grinder fuel plate, 4 inch out the back n that's it. Feeling pretty confident bout dragging a 06 duramax wit an edge programmer and exhaust this weekend, just wanted to know what everyone else thought. I got a good chance or just wastin my diesel!!???

D-Max is an aluminum head POS, but they have power and can put it to the ground.

The only "race" a stock or close to it 12v is going to win against a D-Max is the race to 500,000 miles

Just take pride that your truck did not cost much $$$ and it will run forever and you can work on it yourself and have some fun.

yea, keep thinking that 215hp is all it has. i'm not much to racing my truck, i have a race car, but the duramax is pretty quick. just saying to keep you from getting your feelings hurt.

Come on 215hp with ground plate, tweaked a.f.c., and 4" strait??!! Gotta be breaking 300 hp atleast right? Plus cummins torque almost doubles the d-max! Ain't skeerd!! Just gotta put it to the ground!!!
