Default Warped rear drums

I have a 98 12 valve 8800 gvw 4x4. In the last year I have gone through two sets of the $55.99 Advance Auto rear drums. I'm tearing into it tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone had any idea of what's going on. When the first set warped I adjusted the rear proportioning valve to give less breaking in the rear. I made sure they weren't adjusted up too tight and the e brake cables seem good. I use the ebrake every time I park. The pads were changed a year ago they came from Carquest. Can anyone recommend a brake shoe / drum combination that works well for them? I do not do any hauling or towing. Thanks for the help in advance.

Pulled the rear brakes all apart. Turned 1 drum in on warranty because it was warped. Changed both rear wheel cylinders and springs and hold downs. Shoes look good, made sure the adjusters were free. I guess we'll see what happens.

ok my experience on this and things i have heard are that using the parking brake while the brakes and drums are still hot will cause warping. I had warped drums before and since i stopped using the parking brake i havent had them warp since. I am going to guess that using top quality pads and drums might also eliminate the problem.

I think Advance Auto is your problem, try some NAPA or Carquest drums
