throttle stuck wide open
The other day i was out 4 wheelin in the dodge, the truck was getting beat on harder then iv ever beat on any truck really, seeing alot of wot time, bouncing around over whoops in 3rd gear. on the way back in the truck just started to run away so i pushed the clutch and killed it, and towed it home. the throttle is stock at just short of wide open, you can move it little but it wont come back down to idle, wont come any lower then maybe 1/16" from full. the cable is slack, none of the return springs ae broken. the pump is just pretty much jammed, either that or im thinking some linkages got muddy and jamed up. what do you guys think?
also, i overheated the truck at the same time this happened, could this have something to do with it? didnt really overheat it that bad, mostly water and the radiator leeks a bit so its not holding pressure, under these conditions it boils out at only like 210 degrees, so its not like i severely overheated it. other then that nothing else is really broken, i can not believe the kind of abuse these trucks will take. hoping ill have an easy fix on my hands, if not easy at least closer to free.
o and some aditional information, i have no fuel plate, afr maxed out and he governor springs are stock but turned in 4 clicks each.

yea iv read up a little bit on the stuck rack... looks like im just gonna take the afc off and get it to come free and run a ton of 2 stroke oil through it. iv been really slacking on putting 2 stroke oil in the fuel and i have to think that this is how im paying for it... especially on a hot day of beating on the truck with no fuel plate i really should have added some lubricant for the pump, who knows how reliable the pump will be in the future now.
