I run 2cycle oil in my Cummins every time, 1oz per gallon. You need something to lubricate your fuel system because the new diesel fuel has all the good stuff removed for smog and to further the political BS........I could go on all day.
Just go down to Walmart and grab a couple gallons of SuperTech 2cycle oil for boat motors. Also buy two of the little 16oz containers. Keep two of the little containers in the truck to use at your next fill-up and refill them from the big jugs.
I also ran 2cycle oil in my '06 Powerstroke, in the later computer controlled trucks you don't want to get too much in the fuel but in the old Cummins oil burners they really don't care.
