i was wanting to build a fuel saver i have a 97 half ton 4x4 i was wanting to put a 3.9 in it i was wondering how much horse power and torque one could get out of this engine and it still stay reliable and what kind of fuel milage could i get out of it the truck is a short bed extended cab 5 speed with 3.55 gears do these engines have the same injectors as a 5.9 thanks for you alls input

 

hp and torque depend on what 4bt you are looking at, they make cr 4bt, p pumped, ve pumped, vp pumped, i kinda what to know about this cause i want to put on in my jeep

 

well im wanting to go with a p pump my self that way i can do a torque plate and dv's if it ant got the power like i want but im not looking for somethin that has break neck speed but i want it to run good and get good fuel mileage
