How long is to long

The title is the question, how long is to long for a one piece drive line? Id like to get rid of my carrier bearing

For a DD a one peice steel driveshaft is not a good idea. with a 1 peice shaft you will get a heck of a vibration right around 65-70 mph. A one peice aluminium shaft would work fine tho
